A Tennessee husband is accused of stabbing to death an 18-year-old man he found in bed with his wife after returning home.
Jonathan Belk, 41, is alleged to have fatally stabbed Billy Jean Floyd early Saturday after coming home and finding the teen with his 31-year-old wife, Jada Gholston.
Incensed, the husband stabbed his wife’s lover along with attacking his spouse who was hospitalized with several stab wounds, according to News Channel 9.
The body of Floyd who had only turn 18 just three days earlier — was found stuffed in fetal position in garbage can in his mistress’ home in Dunlap.
The cheating wife initially told police that a ‘man had jumped on her boyfriend while they were in bed,’ police wrote in an affidavit.
When cops arrived at the Sequatchie County residence, they found Belk ‘standing in his doorway covered in blood’ with cuts on his hands — before coming to find out that he was the caller’s husband.
His biggest concern appeared to be that the deadly attack might ruin his marriage.
‘I am worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him,’ the husband allegedly told investigators.
Belk remains held on criminal homicide charges ahead of a bond hearing scheduled for March 21.
Floyd was known as ‘Lil Bill’ and ‘enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheelers and working on everything,’ according to an obituary.
‘He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends,’ it stated of the slain teen.
A family friend started a GoFundMe to raise costs for funeral expenses.
Sequatchie County Sheriff Bill Phillips told News Channel 9the fatal stabbing ‘is an isolated incident to that home and there’s no reason to believe anybody else is in danger.’
Not immediately clear is how long the wife had been cheating on her husband for.
