Jevon Tyrese Fletcher, New Haven, Connecticut man stabs girlfriend, Hailey Miller and own 2 year old son to death before jumping out of building. Boyfriend faces two counts of murder. No known motive.
A Connecticut man is alleged to have stabbed to death his 19 year old girlfriend and two year old son at a New Haven residence over the weekend.
Jevon Tyrese Fletcher, 26, appearing in court on Tuesday faced 2 counts of murder, two counts of murder with exceptional circumstances and risk of injury.
The boyfriend’s arrest follows cops finding the bodies of Hailey Miller, 19 and the suspect’s 2-year-old son stabbed to death inside an apartment on Meloy rd, Saturday night after neighbors called 911 to report sounds of hysterical screaming, WFSB reported.
Suspect previously received 6 month suspended sentence
Fletcher had jumped out of a window and was found on the walkway, where he was taken into custody. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and released early Tuesday morning before being formally charged.
Fletcher appeared for the arraignment virtually, WTNH reported.
Reports told of the un-named 2 year old boy not being biologically related to Hailey, who leaves behind her own 3 year old son. The three year old was not present at the time of the double murders.
The slayings follow Fletcher previously receiving a six-month suspended sentence last February for breaching the peace involving a different victim.

Fletcher is being held on a $3 million bond and is expected to appear in court again on March 13.
Miller is remembered as a kind person, bright spirit, and hardworking mom who will be greatly missed the New Haven Register reported.
‘Hailey is incredibly kind and incredibly thoughtful,’ her cousin, Nicolette Nealy told media.
No known motive for the slayings was immediately known.
