The victim of a Panama City road rage shooting in Florida over the weekend was revealed to be a single mother of two who had been celebrating her birthday just moments before she was fatally gunned down in front of her daughter.
Georgeann Park Garner, 48, died on Saturday after a couple pulled up alongside her vehicle and shot her at point-blank range at a red light in Panama City. The woman was gunned down moments after a terse stand-off between one of the two occupants of a red pick up truck over an alleged traffic incident.
Charged in the woman’s shooting death was Jubal Simmons, 23 and Ivybella Encino, 21. At the time, Encino, the driver of the couple’s Dodge Ram pickup truck had pulled up to Park Garner’s red GMC Terrain SUV, with Simmons firing off no less than 11 rounds, killing the mom.

At what cost road rage?
Critically injured was the woman’s daughter, Marileigh Lewis, 19, who had been sitting in the backseat. Both women were shot in the chest, with Park Garner soon after mortally succumbing to her gunshot wounds, the Panama City Police Department (PCPD) told WMBB.
A third passenger inside the vehicle miraculously survived unscathed.
Encino and Simmons were shortly after pulled over after the pair fleeing the scene.
Garner had never met either Encino or Simmons, according to the PCPD.
‘Marileigh suffered a bullet to the chest and almost lost her life too. She is currently in ICU with extensive damage. She will need time to heal and her medical bills will be extensive and expensive,’ according to a GoFundMe appeal set up by Georgeann’s best friend.
Single mom victim remembered
‘The world lost a beautiful soul that day. Georgann truly had a smile that would light up a room. Her eyes twinkled when she laughed and glittered when she snorted. She was taken from us far too quickly and her life was ended by ruthless people with road rage whose hearts were full of hate,’ the GoFundMe said.
Georgeann had been celebrating her birthday at a Mardi Gras parade in Panama City beach just minutes before the shooting attack, just on 4pm, Saturday, according to the fundraiser.
Simmons faces nine charges including murder, three counts of attempted murder, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest. He is being held without bond.
Encino, his girlfriend, was charged with being an accessory to murder, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, and driving while her license was suspended, among other offenses. Her bond is $800,500.
