Hailea Soares, Somerset, Massachusetts woman body slammed in road rage episode in Attleboro at hands of Gladior Kwesiah following minor collision.
‘I’m in the air….’ Video has captured the moment a single mother of two was left with serious injuries after she was body slammed at the hands of a ‘brute’ following a fender bender incident along a Massachusetts motorway.
Hailea Soares, 31, of Somerset, MA, was driving in Attleboro, Mass, shortly before 9 a.m. Friday when the driver in front of her stopped short, causing a minor collision WHDH-TV News reported.
That’s when things got violent. Very violent.
‘I might die right now.’
‘He kept slamming on his brakes and then when we got to the intersection, he hit a light and he was in front of me,’ Soares told the outlet. ‘As soon as we went through, we didn’t even make it across and he slammed on the brakes, so I hit him.’
That’s when, Gladior Kwesiah, of Rhode Island stormed out of his car and yanked Soares out of her vehicle.
Soares who had been attempting to take photos of the damage had her phone grabbed from her hands.
‘I tried to defend myself and then he picked me up, and that was when the woman got the video of me bring thrown to the ground,’ Soares recalled. ‘I remember thinking, ‘I’m in the air right now. I’m in the air.”
Adding, ‘I might die right now.’
According to a gofundme.com page set up for the battered mom following the road rage incident, Soares was left on the ground badly bruised, with a serious head injury, broken bones and in tears, with bystanders looking on in shock.
Kweshia was booked at the scene and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon resulting in serious injury, malicious destruction of property and driving without a license.
‘Jerk-off road rage’
He was ordered held on $25,000 bail.
Soares was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital suffering from a broken knee, a broken foot, an injured eye socket and a serious head wound, WHDH reported.
‘Inappropriate and unacceptable conduct stemming from what was essentially a minor motor vehicle crash,’ Attleboro police Sgt. Kevin Sellers told ABC-TV News.
Added the mom who is glad she survived her ordeal, ‘He was just being a jerkoff on the road.’
Adding, ‘I don’t know if he was having a bad day. I don’t know what that was, but if that’s the type of person he is, I don’t think he belongs in society with the rest of us.’
The gofundme.com page for Soares had raised more than $23,200 by Monday afternoon.
