Alexander Materne, Jennings, Louisiana man arrested after dumping 14 year old Tennessee teen girl he had arranged to meet for sex in the woods after realizing her age. Pair had met days earlier on an online gaming site.
A missing 14 year old Tennessee teenage girl was found in the Louisiana woods after being ‘discarded’ by a sexual predator she met on an online gaming platform days earlier.
Alexander Materne, 28, of Jennings, Louisiana allegedly drove to the 14-year-old’s home in Tennessee on December 23, just days after having ‘connected’ online, before bringing the teen girl back to his home over 500 miles away in St. Rose, Louisiana.
The pair then allegedly engaged in ‘sexual acts’ only for the 28 year old man to then ditch the teen girl in the woods upon finding out the girl’s age, leaving her with a tent and some supplies, including food and water according to a Facebook release by the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office reads.
Sleuthing family locate missing teen daughter’s last contact
Having left the teen girl in the wilds of the Louisiana wilderness, Materne then went to celebrate Christmas with his family, the sheriff’s office said.
It was during the missing teen’s extended absence, that her concerned family found out about the relationship between her and the older man after checking on their daughter’s computer.
The family reached out to family members of Materne and were able to get in contact with people who were at the Christmas party.
Sheriff’s deputies crashed the Christmas party, forcing Materne to show them where he had dropped off the discarded girl, according to the release.
‘Not knowing your victim’s age is not a defense’
The 14-year-old was found in good health at the Tangipahoa Parish area and taken to a hospital for further examination.
‘You can’t make this stuff up. It’s a Christmas miracle that she was found safe. This thing could’ve ended badly,‘ Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Gerald Stinger said.
Adding, ‘In Louisiana, a lack of knowledge of your victim’s age is not a defense.’
A regard of Materne’s social media accounts revealed him working as an ‘Actor/background talent.’
Materne faces numerous charges, including aggravated kidnapping of a child and felony counts of human trafficking and carnal knowledge.
