Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez missing Habersham County woman’s remains found as Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches of Cornelia is charged with kidnapping as he now also faces murder charges. Fitness TikToker’s death comes after she went to the grocery store only to never return home.
A 24-year-old Georgia man has been charged following the remains of a missing Habersham County woman and fitness TikToker were found earlier this week.
Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches of Cornelia was arrested on Monday in Atlanta on charges of kidnapping related to the disappearance of 25-year-old Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez, also of Cornelia.
The search for the missing woman came after her remains were found in Habersham County in what authorities now suspect is a homicide case, AtlantaNewsFirst reported.
‘It didn’t make sense. She doesn’t talk like that,‘
Officials said Rodriguez-Ramirez was identified by her distinctive tattoos but are still awaiting a full autopsy, after her remains were found following an exhaustive multi-day search that included the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigations).
Rodriguez-Ramirez was reported missing by family members on Wednesday, Oct. 23 after going to a local grocery store and never to come home. The mom of a 9 year old was last seen on the evening of Oct. 22, when she visited a Walmart to exchange a photograph she had taken with an acquaintance.
A cashier at the Walmart said Minelys entered the store that evening around 9:30pm, and she had been texting her fiancé Julio Tovor at the same time as he went to sleep.
Tevor said he woke up to find Minelys hadn’t returned home, and realized her last text didn’t appear right – she had texted him: ‘I am waiting for the brother to pick him up.’
‘It didn’t make sense. She doesn’t talk like that,‘ Tevor told Now Habersham.
Her family urgently appealed for answers as authorities launched a search, which soon uncovered her vehicle pulled over to the side of a road near the Walmart.

Cause and manner of death yet to be determined
According to Now Habersham, witnesses said they saw a dark-colored SUV and a gold or yellow minivan next to Minelys’ vehicle at some point.
The search came to a tragic end as Minelys’ remains were discovered in a remote area near a road parallel to the Walmart where she was last seen.
Officials have not determined any cause of death and said the young mother’s remains will undergo an autopsy with the medical examiner’s office, and have not indicated the manner in which she was allegedly murdered.
Leading up to her death, Rodriguez-Ramirez, chronicled her her fitness routine on TikTok to her 21.4K followers.
Rivera-Sanches remains in custody at the Habersham County Detention Center with no bond. Authorities indicated Rivera-Sanches will also be charged with murder in Rodriguez-Ramirez’s death.
It was not clear if cops believe the suspected killer knew his victim or if it was a random alleged crime.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Minelys’s family said she had a nine-year-old daughter and had moved to America for work six years ago.
