Read a statement in part by the Canton Police Dept, ‘This was not the outcome that we were hoping for. Everyone, please keep this baby’s family in your prayers.’
Jamison’s body was found around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in a retention pond near his father’s apartment complex. The child was found by a Madison County dive team, Canton Police Chief Otha Brown told the Clarion Ledger.
‘Everybody is saddened by what took place. You can see by the expressions on everyone’s faces that were out in the apartment complex,’ Brown told the outlet. ‘We had been out searching since about 2 o’clock. We were trying to put a strategy together of where we needed to be looking and visited some homes that had cameras, trying to locate where the young man was last seen at. When we got all of that together, we searched the pond and that’s where we found him at.’
It remained unclear if the boy’s parents faced any charges.
