Adriana Sarah Gonzalez-Rugama feared to have left home for 41 year old male as search for Wilmington, California girl missing over two weeks continues.
A 14 year old California girl who has been missing for more than two weeks is now feared to be with a 41 year old male after various clothing items were discovered gone from the family home.
Adriana Sarah Gonzalez-Rugama, 14, reported to have been missing since September 7, and was last seen in Wilmington, California on the 1300 block of Figueroa Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The teen was reported missing earlier this month after her mother noticed she packed a bag of her belongings and left their home.
Did 41 year old male prey on 14 year old teen girl?
Gonzalez-Rugama is believed to be in either Los Angeles or Dallas, Texas with the man, police said in an initial police release on September 12.
Gonzalez-Rugama is described as 5-foot-1- and about 136 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes, but her hair might be dyed red, KTLA reported.
She was last seen in a pink shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
Authorities declined to say how they came to the view that the missing teen girl may have left with the un-named 41 year old male. How the 14 year old and the 41 year old man came to meet remained unclear. Also unclear was the nature of their ‘dynamics,’ and whether the man is believed to have preyed on the teen girl.
Data from the California Department of Justice revealed that Los Angeles County has more missing children than any other county in the state. In 2023, they counted 13,484 missing children.
Orange County had the second highest rate of missing children, with 6,586.
