A 13-year-old Michigan girl has been taken into custody after she stabbed to death her 7 year old sister at their family home, Saturday afternoon.
Officers with the Taylor Police Department responded to a residence at the vicinity of Telegraph and Chestnut in Taylor, Wayne County just after 1pm, Saturday, where they found the younger girl with critical injuries ‘consistent to that of having being stabbed.’
Despite rushing the younger sibling to hospital, the seven year old girl did not survive her injuries, The Taylor Police Department said in a Facebook release.

Investigators determined that the older girl stabbed her sister during an argument between the two siblings. The teen was taken into custody ‘without incident,’ police said.
‘This is a tragic event for the family, and we are ensuring that the necessary resources are being made available to support everyone involved,” a statement from the department said. ‘We ask the public to respect the family’s privacy as we carry out a thorough investigation.’
Noted released 9-1-1 Dispatch audio, ‘Thirteen-year-old stabbed her 7-year-old sister multiple times with a knife,’ according to WXYZ.
Reflecting on the tragedy, pre teen neighbor, Aidan Smith said of the victim, ‘She was like one of the special girls and all that. She’d walk up and down the street. She was all nice. She wanted to play with everyone.
‘I was upset and all that. I didn’t know the older sister would do that.’
Explained the boy further, ‘I haven’t seen the older sister out in a while. We used to, like, all three of us, all four of us, all the kids in the neighborhood would go catch frogs and all that.’

Said next door neighbor, Julie Pagoda, ‘Something wasn’t definitely right with that house.’
Adding, ‘Her overall demeanor, over all how she would be, how she would walk up and down the street, she seemed very sad.’
‘Last night, I was just talking to her last night, and now she’s gone. She used to walk up and down the street every day, riding her bike, walking up and down the street, stopping and talking to neighbors. She was the sweetest little girl. The sweetest little girl.’
Added another neighbor, Marisa White, ‘They walked [the 13-year-old] down, put her in the police car and had her in the police car until the mom and dad arrived.’
Not immediately clear is was the whereabouts of the girls’ parents or other adults.
It remained unclear if there had been prior altercations between the siblings and or whether the teen girl had exhibited prior instances of domestic abuse or anti-social tendencies.
The identities of the siblings was not made public.
It remained unclear what charges would now follow.
