

Robyn Rogers, Lake Havasu City, Arizona teacher arrested for having sex with a teen runaway minor who she was harboring at her residence.
An Arizona teacher is alleged to have had sex with a 17-year-old boy who had been missing for months after running away from home.
Robyn Rogers, 44, was arrested Thursday after officers made contact with her at a home on Beefeater Drive in Lake Havasu City, AZ. following a tip of about the missing boy’s possible location according to a news release.
She was believed to be hiding the juvenile male, who ran away from his home on February 14. He was observed leaving the rear of the residence as police questioned Rogers, leading them on a short foot chase before being taken into custody, AZ Family reported.

Police said the juvenile male was in a sexual relationship with Rogers, and that Rogers, a ‘life skills teacher,’ was assisting him by evading police.
Rogers who has two children of her own, was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, along with hindering prosecution, false reporting to law enforcement, possession of narcotic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During her initial appearances, Rogers was held on a $25,000 cash bond on the three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, and a $5,000 secured bond on the remaining charges. In her mugshots, the mom-of-two sported a pair of pigtails.
Following the educator’s arrest, Telesis Preparatory Academy Superintendent Sandy Breece – Rogers’ employer – issued a statement saying the teacher in life skills and child development was no longer with the institution.
‘The staff member is no longer employed at our school,’ Breece said Friday night.
‘We do not have any additional information.’
Prior to her ouster, Rogers in addition to her teaching duties also served as the athletic liaison, cheerleading coach and the liaison to the board according to Today’s News-Herald Havasu News.
Not known is how Rogers came to know the runaway.
A regard of Rogers’ social media accounts suggests the educator having been married as recently as two years ago.
Rogers as of Tuesday had yet to make bond and continued to remain in custody at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
