Angelica Salinas Phoenix mom abducts 5 month old baby from foster home. Biological mother does not have custodial rights as child remained missing.
Arizona cops are searching for a 5-month-old girl who was ‘forcibly’ taken from her foster family by her biological mother.
The infant, identified by authorities as Eunice Salinas, was in the care of her foster family late Saturday when Angelica Salinas went to their Phoenix home and ‘forcibly removed’ the girl, police said Sunday.
‘Angelica does not have custodial rights to Eunice and there is concern for the child’s safety,’ Phoenix police officials said in a statement.
The missing baby, who was last seen wearing blue and pink flowered pajamas, weighs about 15 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Salinas, 24, is about 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown hair, police said.
It remained unclear how Eunice came to end up in foster care and what prompted her biological mother to abduct the infant.
Come Monday, Slinas and the infant remained missing. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts should call investigators at (602) 534-2121.
