Analyzing the best RTP for Online Slots as online gaming industry continues to adapt to new rules and player needs.

Is low RTP (Return to Player) the Death Penalty for Online Slots? The basic answer is yes. But the fine details in various countries are different. RTP gives you a chance to sweeten the bitterness of the row of losses. But the parameter itself doesn’t guarantee the prosperity of your gambling efforts. Neither replaces the casino’s reputation. You always need to check the brand name and its financial status.

An extremely low RTP means a lesser jackpot benefit for everyone. But the cunning player should verify the taxes and commissions of the country of residence and the location of the gambling house. This trouble especially matters in the USA, for the different taxation laws between the states. Even in the EU, there are many differences in gambling activities. Most casinos with significant press releases also tend to advertise high RTPs.

Today, many games are depending on their own RTPs. But the slots are the most dynamic of these disciplines. Also, the charts of the most popular gambling facilities are always talking about the general coefficient. It is a kind of mind game. Even if the slots are not that profitable, an average number still can be decent. And it means more newcomers.

You can play free slot machine games without downloading any time when you want to do it. Still, we highly recommend analyzing the roster of slots and all the local rules of your favorite brand before starting the high roller’s betting activities. It is a bit of universal advice for a successful gambling career for everyone. Regardless of the promises, you have to hedge your risks properly.

So, what RTP is enough?

RTP is an arithmetic value. It increases the chance to hit the jackpot, but the formulae are non-linear and can’t give you guaranteed success. Still, many players believe in this coefficient. You can trace this prejudice in the charts of popular slots

  • Ugga Bugga 99.07% RTP – Playtech
  • Mega Joker, 99% RTP – NetEnt
  • Ooh Aah Dracula, 99% RTP – Barcrest
  • Jackpot 6000, RTP 98.8% – Netent
  • The Catfather, RTP 98.10% – Pragmatic Play
  • Blood Suckers, 98% RTP – NetEnt
  • Jokerizer, 98% RTP – Yggdrasil
  • Rainbow Riches Pick n Mix, 98% RTP – Barcrest
  • Starmania, 97.87% RTP – NextGen
  • White Rabbit Megaways, 97.77 RTP – Big Time Gaming

An RTP lower than 75 is not acceptable at all. If you are analyzing the promotion of the most successful casinos, you will never find slots with too low return rates. At least, they will never talk about the unsuccessful or non-popular machines. Dirty PR campaign for casino marketing forbidden: all ads are about tremendous success and luxury life.

The RTP over 97-98% is considered an excellent rate. But for some new and untrusty casinos, these numbers are unrealistic. First of all, reliable gambling houses use only decent slot vendors with a polished balance. As for the less reputable brands, we can’t check the live statistics, and the RTP is fake. Jackpots for these sites are also elusive, even if the casino itself makes some payments.

At the same time, RTP is a psychological thing that can give the desired gift to every player – inner confidence. Probability theory is a pretty heartless thing. But there is no reason to play slot machines without an enormous hope of getting rich. The spirit of competition and the simple joy of the game are parts of a fairy tale. People are greedy for easy money. That’s why the bigger chance to have fortune is always welcomed.

New European rules and people’s choice

In February 2021, some new rules arrived in the United Kingdom. They are vivid because a lot of gambling houses work under British principles. The standards announced by the Gambling Commission set new limits for all gaming software, vendors, and brands under UK jurisdiction.

A New Balance is about limits. Since next October, the slot reels have to be significantly slower, a speed-up play or celebrate losses as wins are totally and forever banned. The Gambling Commission also demands all the operators to show all the benefits directly to players. It is significant for a clear count of real profit. Also, since autumn, you can count live RTP for every popular British slot without bis efforts.

This move was very predictable. The national statistics say that about 70% of online casino games in the UK copied from real betting ventures. And almost all of them connected to popular slots. Reel machines are easy to imitate: the inner firmware is very similar to each other.

Also, the vivid part of the game is national taxes. In May 2021, there was a poll on LinkedIn for German gambling experts. The proposed concept was about a new tax for gambling activity, with a 5.3% limit. The question was what RTP you expect after this tax, for the profitable gambling but without additional difficulties. The vast majority of the experts (almost half of them) tell about 90-92%. A third of people think that the RTP, which equals 87-89%, will be enough. The lesser limit considers at the edge of 81%.

There were also important economic reasons for this issue. With the tax at 5,3%, the highest possible RTP is 94.7%. The higher numbers eventually will lead the casino to bankruptcy. This system will be unbalanced. So, the realistic top ceiling can’t jump over 90-92%. There is no such German tax today. But we have to count all the possibilities for the future. As you see, gamblers are reasonable people. They want better casino terms of service. It is natural, but the survey doesn’t find any unrealistic wish about new RTPs.
