‘I’m happy and I know it.’ An Oklahoma woman’s arrest has raised curiosity as she appeared seemingly broadly smiling in her mugshot following her arrest for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.
Shanda Johnson-Williams, 48, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the murder of her husband Jamie Williams in Fort Towson, according to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Choctaw County deputies were called to the couple’s home Sunday after the husband was found unconscious, only to be pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
The medical examiner determined the man’s death as the result of a stabbing wound, KFOR reported.
Authorities didn’t release details about the circumstances surrounding his death. Come Wednesday it remained unclear what may have motivated the victim’s wife in stabbing her husband to death.
Johnson-Williams was booked in to Choctaw County Jail, where she faces a charge of first-degree murder, officials said. Her bond will be set at her arraignment.
