Kaylee Foster Mississippi homecoming queen kicks winning point for Ocean Springs High School football team and becomes social media hero.
A Mississippi high school senior in the space of a weekend has become a national icon after being elected homecoming queen only to change in to her team’s football uniform and score the winning extra point when she converted a touch down in the final moments.
It all happened Friday night. Upon Kaylee Foster being crowned homecoming queen, of Ocean Springs High School before that evening’s football game, Foster then headed off to the dressers where she swapped into her school’s football uniform.
With minutes before the game was over, Foster made yet another appearance in front of crowds, but this time with her football helmet on when she successfully kicked the winning extra point to lead her team to a 13-12 victory over George County High School.
Foster kicked two field goals earlier, giving her a majority of the team’s points.

Kaylee Foster Mississippi homecoming queen makes a confession:
Primarily a soccer player, Foster has been kicking with the football varsity since she was a sophomore. She’s been a member of the homecoming court for four years according to the Associated Press.
She put her crown back on after the game, posing for photos in her football uniform and tiara.
Asked whether she was more nervous before the homecoming queen announcement or before her kick, she told The Mississippi Press , ‘I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to be homecoming queen, but I was pretty sure I was going to make that kick.’ Indeed.
