
Hobart Walmart shooting: Supermarket gunmen altercation leads to 12 gunshots fired off in parking lot say shopping mall customers.
Social media is awash in reports of a shooting at a Hobart, Indiana shopping mall believed to adjacent or inside Walmart.
Witnesses told ABC7 that an argument started in the parking lot in the moments before the shooting broke out.
Initial tweets told of up 12 shots being fired circa 8pm at the suburban shopping mall with police seeking the whereabouts of the suspect, who remains at large.
Unconfirmed reports described a gunman entering with an assault rifle and beginning to fire.
Locals reported multiple ambulances speeding past their homes, while other eyewitness told of hearing gunshots and taking cover.
Some said they saw blood spread across the floor.
‘I was laying on the ground and I could hear the victim who had been shot,’ one witness said.
Local reports told of at least two victims being hit, including a child. Both were hospitalized.
The Hobart Fire Department tweeted they had responded to a ‘serious incident’ but would not provide further information.
