Naya Rivera Glee actress arrested beating up husband after calling off divorce last month

Naya Rivera Glee actress arrested assaulting husband Ryan Dorsey as the couple took Saturday night stroll with toddler son. Follows couple calling off divorce last month.

Glee actress and star Naya Rivera found herself making a very special court appearance Saturday evening after the 30 year old woman was arrested for assaulting her husband as the couple took their son for a walk Saturday night in West Virginia.

Police sources told of the 30 year old femme fatale’s arrest coming after allegedly hitting actor husband Ryan Dorsey, 34, in the head and lip while spending the Thanksgiving weekend in his hometown of Chesapeake.

WSAZ-TV reported the husband (never mind) passing cell phone video of the ‘attack’ to Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office deputies. It wasn’t immediately clear what had incited the ‘assault’ on the man.

Subsequent to her arrest, Rivera, wearing a baggy hooded sweatshirt, leggings, slide sandals and handcuffs made her appearance at a Kanawha County magistrate court just after midnight. Anyone for second helpings? Extra stuffing? A touch of cranberry sauce?

As she stood before the judge, who mispronounced her name (such indignities…alas), Rivera attempted to ‘correct’ the judge, only to give up.

Rivera was arraigned on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge and released to her father-in-law on a $1,000 bond. She was silent as she left the courthouse in Charleston, about 10 miles north of Chesapeake.

She was previously engaged to rapper Big Sean, before her rocky marriage to Dorsey.

Following his wife’s arrest, Dorsey went on to tweet a video of his wife’s arrest, where the husband repeatedly is heard saying, ‘I told you’.

Rivera’s court appearance follows the actress calling off her divorce from Dorsey — with whom she shares 2-year-old son Josey last month.

Of note, the nydailynews reports Rivera’s engagement to her former hip-hop artist fiancé was fraught with ‘volatility’ with the rapper previously releasing a single,  ‘I Don’t F— With You,’ which is thought to have ‘hinted’ towards the discord with his engagement to Rivera.

In a 2014 interview with TMZ, the rapper said the actress was too controlling and violent, with sources saying the actress telling the rapper, ‘If you don’t listen to what I say, I’ll ruin your career.’

Rivera, 30, rose to fame as cheerleader Santana Lopez on the hit Fox series ‘Glee,’ which ran from 2009 to 2015. Following the run, the actress went on to appear in ‘small roles’ in several TV shows, most recently appearing this year as the character Dime Bag in Showtime’s Ray Donovan starring Liev Schreiber.
