Alana Donohue a Springfield, Oregon mother has pled guilty to reckless endangerment after towing her two kids and nephew in a red wagon behind her car.

Alana Nicole Donohue the Springfield, Oregon mom accused of towing her two kids and nephew in a red plastic wagon behind her car has pled guilty to reckless endangering.

Appearing in court Tuesday afternoon, the 27 year old woman conceded she might have pushed her luck when fellow motorists called cops last week to report a lunatic woman was driving with an attached red wagon full of children.

Witnesses reported seeing our collective hero towing the kids, aged 2, 4 and 8 in a plastic wagon behind her car as she drove laps on a roundabout.

‘Round round here we go merrily around in a basket to hell….’

At the time of her arrest, Alana Donohue insisted she’d been driving slowly, around 5 mph, but one witness reported seeing the car reaching 30 mph.

Offered Lt. Scott McKee with the Springfield Police Department, ‘One witness told us that the wagon went up on two wheels’.

Adding, ‘And that’s when the littlest one started to cry.”

Reiterated the cop, ‘People didn’t want to pass, and people were calling out to her and pleading with her to pull over.’

‘I just don’t understand how anyone can be that stupid,’ said Springfield resident Kathy Dahl. ‘It’s just, really…I mean…absolutely ridiculous.’

At the time of her arrest a nonplussed Donohue told cops, ‘I’m just trying to show my kids a good time.’

Do you suppose?

A report via kval told of Donohue agreeing to a 12-month diversion program, according to the Springfield Municipal Court. If she stays out of trouble, the charges will be dropped.

The judge also told Donohue not to have contact with her 8-year-old nephew. The boy’s mother said she supports the judge’s decision. Do you suppose?
