Rosie’s Theater Kids (RTK) newly established Junior Board hosted a cocktail reception, Tuesday night—equipped with champagne and hors d’oeuvres—at Vault. A new and hot underground cellar set deep in the crevices of Noho’s Vault spot, the $125 value ticket and raffle proceeds went to support the Junior Board’s effort to sponsor a PS (public school) Broadway dance and musical theater class, to 1800 students over 17 schools for one entire year.
The event marks RTK’s first stab at earning funds for PS children. Thanks to hosts Leslie Ziff and Christian Siriano—infamous winner of the Project Runway, who had designed the edgy corsetry and elegant skirt worn by the waitresses–sales were exceedingly fruitful.“This is the first time there is a junior board,” notes junior chairwoman–Elizabeth Clinard. “There has always been a senior board, but the junior one caters to a much younger demographic.”
