Last Friday found us in the great company of recently turned fashion connoisseur Johnny Pigozzi and his very fabulous friends at his new store launch opening Limoland. A cursory look at the designer’s (yes Johnny boasted that he designed every shirt, belt buckle, shoe, and bag and even the coat hangers damn it!) motif in a nutshell describes the larger than (your life for sure) persona of Johnny Pigozzi- part growl, but mostly moxie wink. Johnny’s ensemble is loud, colorful, a smidgen naughty (well we think Johnny is very naughty frankly…oh dear) and frankly very well made. Just the way we like it thank you very much…

The evening began with an avalanche of photographers blinding us with their paparazzi cameras, blinding us mere mortal (journalists) as luminary after luminary came in and out of Johnny’s swank atelier to wish him well. From co hosts André Balazs, Chris Blackwell, Ralph Gibson, Brett Ratner, Jeff & Gillian Sagansky, and guests including Dasha Zhukova, Bob Pittman, Simon de Pury, Tony Hawk, Alicia Witt, Alexia Nidzilski, Jane Buffett, Francesco Clemente, Andre Clemente, Lady Liliana Cavendish, Vikram Chatwal, Pascal Dangin, Jasmine Dellal, Vincent Fremont, Ralph Gibson, Elizabeth & Bob Gruen, Scott Greenstein, Anthony Haden-Guest, Sean MacPherson & Rachelle Hruska, Nemo Librizzi, Paul McGuinness, Sir Martin & Lady Sorrell, Jane Mayle, Ghislaine Maxwell, Mirabelle Marden, Sylvia Martins, Diego Marroquin, Jennifer Missoni, Bonnie Morrison, Giacomo Nicolodi, Glenn O’Brien & Gina Nanni, Christina Oxenberg, Paige Powell, Jeffrey & Marjorie Rosen, Isabel Rattazi, Andres Serrano, Rory Tahari, Taki Theodoracopulos, Eve Therond, Stefano Tonchi, Ramdane Touhami & Victoire De Tallac, Jacqueline Schnabel, Nicholas Simunek, Peggy Siegal, Donald Sultan, John Sykes, Pietro Qualgia, Bettina Zilkha.
