Thursday night saw El Museo del Barrio Young International Circle celebrate Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Tribeca Rooftop.
A spirited affair that saw guests dress in elegant affair with referential patronage to the upcoming Halloween celebrations, donning masks, quick heel and foot movements to bolstering salsa music playing and a general good cheer that saw saw this author attempt futilely the machinations of salsa himself before resorting to the quadrants of the bar.
This year’s benefit proceeds went towards El Museo’s art initiative El Museo’s Bienal: The (S) Files, the popular biennial that showcases the most innovative, cutting-edge work being produced by emerging Latino and Latin American artists currently working in the greater New York area
