Ah yes, fashion week.  The parties are red hot and the people can be even hotter.  Well there was no shortage of beauty at Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar as Ford Models hosted a fashion fête to mark this year’s 2010 season.  Ford is one of New York’s most prestigious agencies, “Ford Models was started in 1946 by Eileen and Jerry Ford.  Ford was the first company to advance their models money owed by jobs that had been completed but not yet paid.  Eileen Ford helped shape what women looked like and how they dressed for nearly half a century.  Ford had the family tradition of allowing teenage models who live far from New York City to stay in her home.” Strong history and etiquette is certainly part of their foundation, perhaps that’s one of the reasons the company is still a success story.  With such hospitable directors as Caroline Poznanski and Michele Pryor, the tradition plainly shows.

Funny thing is I had actually initially requested to cover the Next Models party two days before.  However, the woman in charge was so utterly inappropriately rude, I’m glad I was denied.  The professionalism of Ford’s staff and the simple “fun” atmosphere was created by the artistic elegance of Rose Bar’s interior, their staff and good natured guests.  I was fortunate to have been a part of it (thank you Jenna Love). I’m always ready for any excuse to have a drink with gorgeous female models, please put me on your list.
