At the Whitney Annual Gala and Studio Party, every walk of the artistic life sent it’s best and brightest to show their faces. The wealthy, the talented, the children of the wealthy and talented and the young and sexy all put on their Sunday best for a Tuesday night. Veuve Cliquot champagne started the evening, followed by a steak and tuna dinner, capped off by Grand Marnier and Belvedere Cocktails at the Studio Party, which also featured John Legend who arrived on time and with very little fuss, save for the media frenzy over his beautiful, baby-faced date, Christine Telgen.
This event was divided into two parts, the Gala and the Studio Party. The Gala is annually attended by “prominent members of the art, fashion, media, business and corporate communities”, according to the Whitney. Guests included AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, who co-hosted the event with Whitney director Adam Weinberg, hotelier Andre Balazs and several other representatives from the sector of the art world that puts food on the starving artists’ plate.
