The case of an 18 year old Florida teen girl found dead on board a Carnival cruise ship earlier this month has continued to garner public scrutiny amid questions whether she died of a natural death or the result of foul play, and possibly murder?

Anna Kepner, 18, of Titusville, was on a six-day Caribbean getaway with her family when she was declared dead in international waters between Mexico and Florida.

FBI agents swarmed the Carnival Horizon when it arrived back at the Port of Miami but have not disclosed what happened to her – or whether she was murdered as many now believe to be the case. 

Come Monday in new developments in the case, a post shared by Martin Donohue, purporting to be the victim’s uncle has alleged that the teen’s younger step brother being complicit in her death, claiming that Kepner had been beaten up, wrapped in a blanket and covered over with life jackets and stuffed under a bed.

Commented one individual in a Facebook forum, ‘He is a minor. I don’t know his name and it is facts considering the family threatened others in PM to keep quiet. He was removed off the ship in cuffs.’

The publisher stresses that the commentator’s assertion has not been affirmed by investigators and is one of many feverishly making the rounds.

Investigators continued to question the family members who had traveled with the teen before Carnival Horizon being forced to return to Miami Port four days into its Caribbean voyage.

Similarly a report from the dailymail, without referencing the allegation of the alleged relative also purport that Kepner’s body was found wrapped in a blanket, covered over with life jackets and stuffed under a bed.

Florida teen complained of feeling unwell the evening before she was found dead

According to sources, Anna is alleged to have complained feeling unwell on the evening of November 6 while she was eating dinner, with the teen heading back to her cabin.

The next morning, when her dad Christopher Kepner, 41, and stepmom Shauntel Hudson, 36, gathered the family for breakfast the next day there was no sign of the 18 year old.

Despite launching a search for the missing girl within the 4000 person cruise ship, Anna’s whereabouts wasn’t revealed until a maid stumbling across Anna’s body when she entered her cabin to service it around 11am on November 7.

According to anonymous sources cited by the dailymail, Kepner was found wrapped in a blanket, covered over with life jackets and stuffed under a bed.

According to the dailymail, Anna’s father declined to respond to questions about the discovery of Anna’s body along with the FBI declining to comment on the revelations.

The father had previously stated that investigators had shared barely any details about the circumstances of his daughter’s death.

Carnival Horizon teen family insist that they continue to remain in the dark

‘We were there as a family. Everybody was questioned. Everybody came off that ship. I don’t know who they are looking at or what their investigation is,’ he said.

‘The FBI hasn’t shared anything with me yet. I would imagine they’re going to be in contact with me about it – but I know as little as everybody else.

‘I have no idea what is going on right now. We are just trying to sit still and wait for answers.’

The Miami Dade County Medical Examiner listed Anna’s time of death at 11:17am on November 7 without specifying where or how it happened.

Authority’s reticence to publicly comment on the case has only served to fuel speculation as to what may have happened to the teen, spawning discussion groups on Reddit, Facebook and other social media sites.

‘I’ve had to shut the world out. I don’t watch the TV anymore. We’ve literally had to stop doing anything to do with the internet,’ said Christopher, a crane operator.

‘We are very private people. Our lives have been turned upside down.’

Anna was set to graduate in May and had planned on joining the military according to her family. Anna had grown up with her dad, stepmom Tabitha Kepner, 33, and younger brother and sister.

Christopher was recently remarried to Shauntel who has three kids of her own, two of whom live with her.

The blended family share a smart, three-bed home close to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center.

Anna had been on previous cruises and had raved about her love of travel on TikTok.

One post showed her enjoying a cruise on the very same boat six months earlier. She danced about in a white dress and captioned the haunting clip: ‘I wanna go back.’

Despite fever pitch interest in the case, a spokesperson for the FBI recently stated, ‘No further information is being released at this time.’
