Texas woman, Heidi Nichole Carpenter is wanted in the slaying of her former husband’s Shih Tzu dog.

A Texas man’s ex wife, Heidi Nichole Carpenter is wanted in the brutal slaying of his Shih Tzu dog.

A report via KENS5 told of Joe Bailey retuning from the gym on March 26 only to find blood all over his home and his pet dog, BG, missing.

‘I was scared to death,’ Bailey told the media outlet.

Bailey said he initially believed a criminal had ransacked his home and taken his 9-year-old dog, along with his Samsung tablet.

But the next day — with help from a friend’s drone — Bailey discovered his dog stabbed to death and lying under tree branches in a neighbor’s yard.

He also found a pair of women’s sandals nearby.

Heidi Nichole Carpenter on probation for previous trespassing charge:

Deputies with the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office would later tell Bailey that on the same day the dog was killed, they had briefly questioned his ex-wife, Heidi Nichole Carpenter, after finding her crossing a highway barefoot, Texas Breaking News reported.

Carpenter, who is on probation for an unrelated 2017 trespassing charge, wasn’t held at that point, but now the sheriff’s office wants her back.

It wasn’t disclosed when the former couple split and what led to the pair divorcing.

Dr. Conrad K. Nightingale, a local veterinarian in Bandera said, ‘In all my years of veterinary service I have not experienced such brutality and animal abuse of this fashion’ in an autopsy report dated March 28th.

On Monday, authorities issued a warrant for Heidi Carpenter’s arrest in connection to the stabbing. She faces potential charges of cruelty to livestock and burglary, officials said. The former wife has yet to be found. It remains unclear why she targeted Bailey’s pet dog.
