Seminole County triple murder: Grant Amato detained after the bodies of three individuals are found at a home in Chuluota with gunshot wounds.

Florida authorities have detained a man considered a person of interest in a triple homicide near Orlando.

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in a press release said Grant Amato, 29, was found early Saturday in a hotel room in a neighboring county and detained ‘without incident.’ A previous statement by the sheriff’s office said Amato was considered armed and dangerous.

The registered nurse had been listed as a person of interest on Friday morning after Seminole County deputies found two men and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds at a home in Chuluota.

At the time, authorities said Amato could be driving a white Honda Accord that was missing from the house abcactionnews reported.

Authorities have not publicly identified the victims, but they’re said to be a woman in her 50s and two men in their 30s.

Several weapons were found at the property, but police say a number of them seemed to be missing.

‘It’s a tragedy anyway you look at it,‘ said Sheriff Dennis Lemma.

Grant Amato likely knew his victims:

Deputies arrived at the crime scene, Friday morning after an employer of one of the male victims called the authorities after realizing he hadn’t shown up for work.

The three victims were found in different parts of the property, with one in the garage, another in the kitchen and the third in a home office.

Lemma said there were no signs of forced entry, meaning the murderer was likely known to the victims and premeditated.

‘It looks like this wasn’t a random act of violence,’ Lemma added.

‘It looks like the person responsible for these murders was known to the family, and we’re going to do everything we can to get this person in custody very, very soon.’

To date no official motive into the triple homicide has been offered.
