Scarborough road crash: British woman, Alice Robinson kills herself hours after her partner of eight years is killed in a crash outside the couple’s Perth, Australia home.

A British woman has killed herself hours after her boyfriend was run-over and killed by a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver in Scarborough, PerthAustralia.

Rugby player, Jason Francis, 29, died after being mowed down just yards from his door after a ‘boozy’ night out with pals in on Saturday night.

It’s thought Francis was lying on the road after drinking heavily with friends- only to be hit by the passing delivery vehicle.

Alice Robinson was found dead in ‘non-suspicious circumstances’ hours after looking out the window and seeing the aftermath of her boyfriend’s tragic crash. At the time Robinson had been waiting for her partner of eight years to return home.

Despite the man being rushed to Royal Perth Hospital- Francis could not be saved. It was soon after that a grieving Robinson took her own life.

Robinson was found dead in Mount Hawthorn on Sunday afternoon, less than 24-hours after Francis was killed.

Wrote Robinson’s mother, Dawn on social media, ‘I am devastated to let everyone know that my beautiful daughter was so distraught she could not bear to live without her beloved Jase and chose to take her own life.’

‘My husband and I now grieve for the loss of two wonderful people that brought light to everyone’s life.’

‘RIP my gorgeous girlie.’

Scarborough road crash: The newly arrived couple had only just migrated to Perth.

The young couple moved to Australia from England less than a year ago.

They had been together for nearly a decade and only had each other, according to their pals, as both their families lived overseas.

When Francis was hit, cops said the driver, 18, stopped and immediately phoned the police on Saturday evening.

Local media reported Robinson only realizing that tragedy had struck after seeing emergency services outside her house.

It is believed the teenage pizza delivery driver did not see Francis lying on the road until it was too late.

No arrests have been made and the car – a Volkswagon Jetta – is being examined by cops.

Friends who were drinking with Francis at a house on Saturday said they had put him in a taxi home.

Domino’s said the employee was returning to pick up another pizza order when Francis was struck at about 8:00 p.m.

A spokesperson said, ‘Our thoughts are with the family of the victim involved and we remain focused on the health and wellbeing of the driver.’

Francis, known to pals as Franner, is believed to have moved to Australia with his partner less than a year ago after they traveled the world together.

A life-long soccer player, Francis had played for conference side Market Drayton Town FC in England.

A tribute on the club’s website read, ‘All at MDTFC are devastated to announce the tragic news from Australia that former player Jason Francis has died.’

‘Jason will be well known to everyone at MDTFC for his power house displays during the glorious years of our fantastic journey through the Leagues; also for being such a great person.’

It added, ‘Our thoughts and deepest sympathy goes out to Jason’s family and friends and everyone who has been touched by this fine young man.’

‘A very sad day indeed.’

Tributes described Francis as a ‘top lad’ and ‘one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.’

A Gofundme page has been set up to help the families with the costs of bringing their loved ones back to the UK.
