Michael Lunday Oklahoma City lawyer arrested and accused of soliciting sex with a 5 year old girl. Suspect brought condoms and Viagra to residence in Mustang with hidden cameras catching the man giving an informant $400.
It was only going to cost him $400, until hit cost him his freedom.
An Oklahoma City attorney was arrested in a sting operation after driving to a residence where hidden cameras caught him expressing his intent to sexually abuse a five year old girl as he warmed himself up with illicit child images. In the man’s wallet was $400 he believed himself to be exchanging in return for his victim’s innocence.
Michael Dwaine Lunday, 55, upon his arrest Thursday, March 2nd, at a Mustang residence was charged with lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child and child prostitution according to a press release issued by the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office.
‘Investigators with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office used hidden cameras in the residence, and deputies were staged inside the house to effect Lunday’s arrest,’ the sheriff’s office noted in its release.
Michael Lunday according to the release allegedly drove to the residence under the belief that he would be able to have sex with a five year old girl in exchange for the agreed upon sum of $400. Authorities said that a female confidential informant told them about a man trying to ‘meet for sex with an underaged child’.
Arrested attorney practised family law
The informant allegedly arranged the meeting after contacting the defendant through texts and phone calls.
‘Lunday told the informant that he would bring condoms and lubrication to facilitate sexual intercourse. Lunday agreed to meet the informant at a residence in Mustang in order to finalize the details prior to the purchase of the child for sex,’ the sheriff’s office said.
Hidden cameras allegedly caught the defendant telling the informant that he preferred to sexually abuse younger girls because it doesn’t affect them as much and that he ‘wanted to watch child p**n*graphy before the child arrived in order to warm himself up and settle his nerves,’ according to the as the press release.
The defendant then allegedly admitted viewing such illicit material in the past, took Viagra, and detailed a fantasy of performing a sex act on a child as an adult woman looked on.
Hidden investigators emerged after the suspect allegedly took a significant step in furtherance of the offense.
‘Lunday was taken into custody at the informant’s residence on Thursday after $400.00 was exchanged with the informant to be split between the informant and a fictitious foster-parent providing the child,’ the sheriff’s office said, pointing to a damning piece of evidence going to the suspect’s alleged intent.
‘Investigators found a receipt in the informant’s kitchen showing that Lunday had stopped at a Target (just minutes before he arrived at the CI’s house) and purchased condoms and lubrication to be used during sex with the fictitious five-year-old.’
Investigators say Lunday practiced family law and say they are not ruling out the possibility there are more victims.
They later executed a search warrant of his home and seized a number of electronic devices, including an iPad, laptop computers and his personal cell phone.
‘We’ve executed warrants on his personal devices, including his house, and we’ve recovered a bunch of electronic devices, and we’re currently in the process of examining those,’ said Maj. Adam Flowers with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office to KOCO5.
Authorities had yet to say whether they found other victims that the lawyer may have previouisly abused or other dealings that he tried to set up.
Lundy is currently being held at the Canadian County Detention Facility on a $200,000 bond.
