Elyse Castillo Jersey City teacher revealed to be having sexual relationship with teen student after being confronted by her own teen children. Conducted liaison while infected with herpes.
A New Jersey substitute teacher charged with having sex with a 14-year-old pupil has been revealed to have been exposed by her own children according to a criminal complaint.
Jersey City teacher Elyse Franco Castillo, 45, allegedly had sex with the student over a 15-month period — not telling him she had a venereal disease, according to court documents.
Filed papers stated the woman’s own children, ages 13 and 14, having a fiery confrontation with the educator last month after being ‘disgusted’ by ‘her relationship with a minor.’
The ensuing heated exchange was so bad, the children’s father called child protection services, claiming Castillo abused her own children during the altercation — sparking the police investigation into the sex claims, the report says.
Sexually infected substitute teacher performed sex with male victim ‘multiple occasions.’
The alleged victim was interviewed and told investigators he met Castillo when he was in sixth grade in 2018 and that they were in a relationship and ‘would make love,’ the complaint says.
The teen said they performed numerous sex acts on ‘multiple occasions’ at Castillo’s home on Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City, according to documents cited by NJ.com.
The charges say the abuse began in June 2018 and went on until last month.
Castillo was arrested without incident Aug. 29 and hit with a series of charges, including aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child and witness tampering the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The educator also was charged with having sex while she had a venereal disease — herpes — without the informed consent of the alleged victim, the charge documents say.
The court was told that Castillo had confessed and faces 10 to 20 years in prison if convicted, the nypost reported.
Prosecutors had wanted her detained, but Judge Paul DePascale ordered her released, barring her from having contact with any juveniles apart from her own children.
Not immediately understood is what compelled the female educator to abuse her position of trust, authority and power and subjugate her male victim.
