What led to a Lira Plaksina a Russian wife severing her ex-husband’s penis? Woman found guilty of malicious attack despite claiming she was victim.
Local media reported Lira Plaksina, 47, from Vasilyevo village in the Tatarstan region claiming hacking off her former spouse’s manhood after appearing at her home drunk.
She told a court in the oil-region area that the 44-year-old man attacked her while demanded sex and had only acted in self defense.
That though is not the version of events the judge agreed on, with the dailymail reporting the judge deciding that the ex wife severed the man’s penis and scrotum as he was lying asleep on the sofa at her village house.
The former husband also suffered an injury to the right hip in the incident in October last year.
Lira Plaksina: ‘Everything is normal – (I got) four years.’
As she was led out of court wearing a black dress, Plaksina – handcuffed to a policeman – waved and blew a kiss. She was jailed for four years.
She showed no regret and said: ‘Everything is normal – (I got) four years.’
Her ex-husband is now living with another woman according to the man’s relatives.
Neighbors said the couple had frequent ‘fights’ and there were ‘tensions in their relationship’ leading to their split.
Yet to be necessarily understood is why the woman sought to specifically emasculate her husband during the attack…while others wondered how much more onerous the sentence would have been had the genders been reversed.
