Cincinnati man rapes mother sentenced: A son insists he had no recollection of sexually assaulting his mother, claiming he was drugged and then blacking out.
An un-named 46 year old Cincinnati, Ohio man has agreed to a guilty plea deal which will see him serve eleven years in jail after raping his 63 year old mother.
The Tuesday deal comes despite the son’s continual insistence he didn’t recall the sexual assault and that he may have been drugged before the assault, causing him ‘to black out’.
So traumatic was the sexual assault, the man’s mother suffered fractured vertebrae in her neck, bruises, cuts and bite marks to her inner thighs and back. At the time, the mother had sought to escape her son, running out the house with no clothes on, only to be soon set upon.
Moments after having agreed to the guilty plea deal, the son told the judge he wasn’t guilty and wanted out of the deal reported The Cincinnati Enquirer.
‘What is your plea to count 1, the offense of felonious assault … guilty or not guilty?’ Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Charles Kubicki asked.
‘Not guilty. I take my plea back. I want to go to trial with this,’ told the son. ‘It’s all bogus and lies.’
But after meeting with his attorney again, the son agreed to the plea deal again, accepting an 11-year prison sentence.
His attorney told the court that he was struggling with the idea of a long prison sentence.
‘Are you satisfied with your terms?’ the judge asked.
‘No I’m not, but yes I am,’ he said. ‘I am satisfied.’
Told the son, who insists he had no knowledge of the sexual assault, ‘This is a bad situation.’
Adding, ‘I feel bad about the whole incident. But I don’t even know what happened. I blacked out, somebody slipped me something in my drink. I don’t even know what was going on. I just don’t know,’ he told the judge.
In exchange for pleading guilty to rape, felonious assault and kidnapping, prosecutors agreed to drop charges for attempted rape and abduction.
Assistant prosecutor, Anne Flanagan told Hamilton County Common Pleas Court the mother’s DNA was found on the defendant’s genitals.
Cincinnati man rapes mother sentenced: Son tries to gain re entry to mom’s house after being released from jail.
Police say the assault happened last March, after the mother and son got into an argument over money.
According to court documents, the son dragged his mother around the home by her hair, causing parts of her scalp to rip off. He also punched her in the face and body leading to her breaking her neck and suffering lacerations to her face along with bite marks on her lower back and legs.
The son then proceeded to rape his mother.
At some point the mother fled the home while still naked.
She tried getting help at a neighbor’s house where she knocked on the door, but no one answered. By then her son who chased the mother, grabbed her and ‘threw her over a fence back to their yard,’ the prosecutor said.
The man’s mother later called police when her son fell asleep inside the home. Upon cops arriving, the still asleep son asked about his mother’s injuries said, ‘he had no knowledge as to how she was injured.’
The man was released from jail in March and then returned to his mother’s house and ‘tried to gain entry.’ The son was blocked from getting back inside by relatives at the home. A judge later increased the suspect’s bond to $500,000 on March 10. He’s been in custody since then.
Of note, The Enquirer reported that the victim has not been involved in the case recently due to ‘affection for her son’.
