Nina Skye a Christian kindergarten teacher is fired after refusing to leave the adult film industry, this despite being offered a pay rise if she walked away from the industry.
Also making the tabloid cover sheets is 21 year old Christian kindergarten teacher, Nina Skye who was fired for refusing to give up her side job as a $2500 a time adult film star.
Recently confronted by school officials who gave her an ultimatum, Skye declared, ‘I love teaching, I love sex’.
The showdown comes after the teacher/actress’ appearance in films with indelible titles, including, ‘Amateur Allure’ and ‘Swallow Salon’, reports the dailymail.
The woman who romps with men and women in the videos, said she was a ‘really good teacher’ and did not see why her hobby should bar her from the classroom.
But that’s not the way senior teachers at the unidentified pre-school where Nina until recently worked saw matters, arguing her extracurricular side profession went against the religious values they espoused.
Having sex was her dream job, Nina said and she was very reluctant to leave the industry.
She told Fox: ‘I couldn’t work there because it goes against their statement of faith.’
‘It goes against their views of fornication, like sex before marriage and that’s what I’m doing.
‘They say it goes against the paper I signed, saying I wouldn’t do that.
‘They were really trying to pull me away from staying in the industry. They just really wanted me out. They offered help and advice, but I don’t really want out.’
Skye said she liked having an open-minded outlook, adding: ‘I love teaching and sex. If I can get away with doing both, then I will.
‘It’s easy money. For my very first scene, I just did a regular boy on girl and I got paid $2,500 on the spot.
‘I never had that much money, ever, just handed to me in my life.
‘I guess some people are really tied by that moral code.’
‘There’s a really big stigma associated with it, and how our society views it.
‘But that’s not how I am. I’m really open-minded. Super open-minded and not judgmental.’
That said, Nina’s employer as a sign of good faith have offered her a pay increase along with helping her with the cost of housing if she agrees to leave the adult film industry. An option that Nina at this moment is willing to accept given the easy money she can now make and not to mention that she really ‘likes sex too’.
For now Nina. is will to continue staying with new found vocation, confident she’ll be able to return to teaching at some point, albeit for a public school.
What do you think? Should Nina’s job as an adult film actress be held against her? Can one really argue that what the woman does outside of school will impede in her ability to teach? Is a school legitimate in its concern that students and teachers might object to their teacher moonlighting in the adult industry and how that might stack up against their own moral values? Or is this more about a school hung about its own perceptions and prejudice towards sex workers?
