How Raphael Oyague a Baldwin, Long Island, NY man bludgeoned a prostitute he hired from Craigslist to death with a hammer after a disagreement over ‘services’ rendered.
Raphael Oyague a 36 year old Baldwin, Long Island man has been arrested on charges of murder after allegedly bludgeoning to death with a hammer a prostitute he hired on Craigslist.
According to Nassau County Police, the man murdered the 25 year old working girl, whose identity has to be publicly identified after refusing to pay her for ‘services rendered.’
The woman’s murder told authorities came after agreeing to meet Raphael Oyague on Tuesday after the man responded to a classifieds posting. It was from there that the woman took a car service to her client’s apartment.
Things took for a turn for the worse tells a report via Newsday when during the ‘rendezvous’ an argument over compensation ensued, leading to Oyague attacking his victim with a hammer, Nassau County Det. Lt. Richard Le Brunk said.
Notice of the prostitute’s death came after two delivery workers found the woman’s battered body in the weeds behind Oyague’s apartment building on Merrick Rd. in Baldwin shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Detectives later found a trail of blood leading from the body to the vicinity of Oyague’s back door, with cops saying the man had dragged his victim from his apartment just after 10 pm the evening before.

To date, the arrested man has pled not guilty to second degree murder. Oyague had been expected to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Of note, a report via the nydailynews told of Raphael Oyague having prior arrests for criminal contempt of an order of protection, assault and DWI.
Police said the family of the victim, who is from Long Island, had not yet been notified of the killing. The woman is said to reportedly have a history with police, with cops declining to elaborate.
While police have yet to publicly identify the victim, a commentator on the web told of the body of a Caucasian woman being found to the rear of 97 Merrick Road at 12:48 p.m. near the Baldwin Lanes, while adding, Charles Harris, a manager at the bowling alley, was one of the first to see the woman’s body, which he says appeared to be in her late teens or 20s.
