What led to Nicole Aymond a Lousiana PE teacher preying on three male high school students? Revealed to have sent risque images to student lovers.
Arrested on 3 counts of prohibited sexual conduct, Port Barre Police Department Chief Deon Boudreaux said police initiated an investigation against the school teacher after receiving a call from a concerned parent at Port Barre High School, Louisiana, where Aymond is also the girls’ basketball coach.
Of note, Boudreaux told KLFY that for several years his department had received reports of teachers having sex with students from the school, but this was the first time someone provided any evidence.
He said that after speaking to two male students, officers found lewd photos of Nicole Aymond on their phones.
Confronting the teacher with the revelations, the PE teacher confessed to police having had sex with the two pupils.
“She told them she had sexual relationship with two of the young men and a third young man not a sexual relationship, she did kiss on him and things like that,’ Boudreaux told KADN.
While Aymond hadn’t broken the law in regards that all three pupils are 17, which is the age of consent in Louisiana, or older, Boudreaux went on to say that the teacher defied laws defining educator and pupil relationships.
Told the police head: ‘But there’s another law that prohibits school teachers, educators from getting into a sexual relationship witrh a student at a school their employed too. Under the age of 21.’
Responding to the Nicole Aymond’s arrest, St. Landry Parish School Board Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said school administrator’s priority was the welfare of the students.
Offered Jenkins: ‘We are aware of and investigating the recent allegations involving an employee from Port Barre High School,’
‘We want to assure the school community that we take reports of this nature very seriously and will do everything in our power to protect the health, safety and welfare of all students.
‘Due to student privacy laws we will not provide details regarding the students involved.
Asked to speculate on what may have prompted Nicole Aymond to physically engage the three students, school administrators responded: ‘There will be no further comment on the ongoing personnel investigation.’
Boudreaux added that officers were investigating a report of another student having sex with another teacher at the same school, but added there was no evidence at this stage.
Aymond’s bail has since been set at $7500. It is not clear if the teacher remains at Port Barre Jail or not.
