Anonymous is stepping up to the plate and administering its own kind of justice.
Vice is reporting that hacker group anonymous have vehemently responded to an individual, Alex Ramos who tweeted naked images of deceased Amanda Michelle Todd‘s body pursuant to an autopsy being done on the young girl after she committed suicide.
Repelled and repulsed by Ramos’ actions the hacker group took it upon themselves to invade Ramos’ twitter account, going so far as to list his personal phone number as well writing the following messages on his handle amongst others (see below) as well as listing his biography to say the following:
“Raging faggot that loves posting nudes of a dead suicide victim.”
The images of Todd are said to have been available as late as last night on Ramos’ twitter page with Ramos countering that he was only posting images that were readily available on google.
Although many would agree that the reproduction and dissemination of said images is tasteless and verges on the disrespectful and infringing one also has to wonder if it’s anonymous’ job at all to go on administer its kind of special vigilante justice? Who’s to say what anonymous may or may in the future find tasteful, agreeable and in its own way begin to behave just as capriciously and authoritatively as some of the outlets it has pinpointed in the past?
