Michael Chad Hill, a Provo, Utah father is charged on two counts of child abuse after smashing his baby’s head against a wall and fracturing her skull cause she wouldn’t stop crying.

A Utah man has been arrested after ‘hitting his three-month-old baby’s head against a wall’ along with punching the child to make her stop crying.

Michael Chad Hill, 38, of Provo was booked into the Utah County Jail, Friday night on two counts of child abuse.

Cops were contacted by child and family services about a baby girl ‘that had a skull fracture and brain bleeds fresh and old,’ according to a Utah County Jail report.

Hill was interviewed by officers at Primary Children’s Hospital where the child was being cared for.

During initial interviews, the father claimed having dropped his daughter and saying ‘she may have hit her head on the metal legs’ off a baby swing, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

The baby was brought to hospital with a skull fracture that ‘started above the left ear and went around the top of her head,’ brain bleeds that were ‘fresh and old’ and bruising on her head and buttocks.

Hospital staff told police it was highly unlikely that the fracture occurred due to a fall, police wrote.

Cops questioned hill a second time during which he admitted that he hit his daughter’s head against the wall ‘because she was crying.’

But it continues to get grimmer.

Hill also stated hitting the child ‘in the back of her head with a closed fist’ and that he ‘spanked her approximately 10 times on her buttocks.’

Hill also told police that he punched the baby in the back of her head two times previously.

Of note, the father had no prior criminal history or police record.
