How one Russian schoolboy’s dare became fatal.

A 14 year old Russian schoolboy named Maxim has fallen to his death after falling climbing a railway bridge in Moscow. The boy’s fall would be precipitated after clutching onto a 30 000 volt electricity cable after losing his balance. The boy’s fall 100 feet below would be caught on video (see below) as a fellow schoolfriend looked on in horror.

The moment of no return would come as Maxim is seen walking along a metal railing before stopping and walking towards the edge of the bridge to get a better view. It would be here that the youth stumbles, instinctively grabbing at the high voltage cable to regain his balance only to be electrocuted by the 30 000 volt cable and falling 100 feet to his death on the railway tracks below.

The video shows a cloud of smoke emanating from the schoolboy’s right hand as the current knocks him unconscious and causes him to tumble off the railing.

Authorities would tell that the youth had climbed onto the top of the railway bridge not far from Sheremetyevo International Airport together with a friend also aged 14-years-old.

According to a report via the UK’s dailymail Russian transport police would issue the video ‘as a warning to others against performing dangerous stunts on railway lines in order to get pictures and video to put on social media.’

Offered Transport police spokeswoman Jana Vasilieva: ‘This was a tragic accident that cost a young man his life and illustrates the danger of trespassing on railway property.

‘The incident is still being investigated though so we cannot say any more this stage.’

At present it is not necessarily understood if the schoolboy’s friend who filmed his classmate falling to his death will be prosecuted for trespassing.
