A new video has been released showing the moment two Baltimore, Maryland teens tried to throw a man off a moving MTA subway train.
The cell phone video (see below), posted by Diana Benbow, shows what appears to be two teenagers as they attack another man in a subway car before opening up the doors of the moving car and trying to shove the man out.
Fortunately they are ultimately unsuccessful.
Wrote Benbow on her facebook wall where she posted the video: ‘This is what goes down in my city. Baltimore, be careful.’
‘If someone pulled a phone out, why didn’t they check to see if he was okay? So you gonna watch someone push someone else off the train while it’s in motion?’
Baltimore Mass Transit Authority police would say after viewing the video that they believe the incident took place when the train was either arriving or leaving the Mondawmin station.
During one point in the harrowing video account the boys are seen jumping on the 51 year old man as others on the train just watch offering no help.
Reports have since told that up to three other individuals took to filming the fight with some heard to say they’d rather film than break the fight up.
Yet perhaps more disconcerting is neither the victim nor anyone who witnessed the incident has to date come forward to notify authorities.
This in turn has led to calls on the MTA to increase security at stations and on their trains.
‘Frankly, the MTA police need to step their game up,’ Councilman Nick Mosby told CBS Baltimore.
