Madison Louch a Californian model has helped cops lead to the arrest of one individual after she received threats that naked pictures of her would be leaked on the web unless she paid a ransom fee.
The alert reports tmz first came on September 7 when the model realized she had been locked out of her iCloud Apple account after receiving a call from a hacker.
At the time the hacker bragged about hacking into celebrity accounts and leaking nude photos before demanding $900 from the model or else they’d ‘ruin her modeling career.’
The hacker also told that they were ‘notorious’ for hacking into celebrity accounts and distributing their nude photos.
rom there the hacker gave Madison Louch specific instructions of where to drop off money at a planter in Hollywood with the model in turn calling cops who then set up a sting operation.
At the time of the drop off, a woman, Jamie Munoz showed up to collect the cash and was met by a swarm of police.
Munoz admitted to agreeing to pick up the cash for the hacker but denied being apart of the plot.
Pressed the woman gave the name of the hacker as Nicholas Douglas from Vancouver, but to date officials have been unable to find him or prove he even exists.
Munoz pleaded guilty to extortion and received no jail time but three years probation and community service.
The attempted hack and extortion comes off the back of the fappening scandal which saw many celebrities and models’ images leaked on to the web, including those of Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard (see new images here) supermodel Cara Delevingne (see images here), Kelli Garner (see images here), Brooke Burns and Rachel Nichols (see images here), Anna Kendrick (see images here) along with unconfirmed images of Winona Ryder.
