Ann Curry is going to remain in the dog house.
It seems things just keep going from worse to worse for former media heavy weight Ann Curry after TMZ disclosed this morning that the former NBC Today show co anchor is a no go for CNN prime time.
tmz: Well-connected network sources tell us … reports that (Jeff) Zucker is courting Curry to be the next CNN star couldn’t be further from the truth. Fact is, Zucker doesn’t believe Curry is the answer to CNN’s problems and is continuing the search elsewhere.
Hmm, hardly the good news Ann Curry would have been hoping to hear. Then again the denial comes off the back of Curry recently trying to wriggle free of her NBC contract to jump ship with CNN, purportedly for an offer that was on the table for her to lead an 8pm prime time slot. The negation comes off the back of Curry being muzzled by NBC producers who insist that she not be allowed to do live interviews and that all interviews she does for the outlet need to be edited. Something that may have come due to the continued embarrassment the outlet is suffering after Ann Curry’s continued slighting of former co Today co anchor Matt Lauer. Who knows maybe Jeff Zucker believes that Curry is not a real team player and he’d rather pass on the drama and ‘headache’ that comes with dealing with a scorned
