The actor by now getting acclimated to the questions regarding his private affairs paused before simply replying: “I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life, and that’s really the only reason people bring it up.”
Then perhaps to put the press in its place the actor then offered the following remark: ‘The press attention is like a theme park ride.’
A theme park ride that no one is quite ready to get off, given the attention it has brought, the overtures it suggests about morality, celebrity and America’s preferred past time, scandal. For now, Mr Patterson as the beautiful young man with his wonderful British accent is the current star attraction but even that is bound to shift the moment another leading man or woman behaves in a way that defies our hopes and understanding of them….
