Canadian authorities believe they may have found the head of recently murdered lover of Canadian cannibal, Luka Rocco Magnotta. The victim, Jun Lin is thought to have been the unfortunate individual who Magnotta had unceremoniously chopped up and had his body parts mailed to political parties and schools. To date Lin’s head was the only remaining body part unaccounted for.
Magnotta who since the incident was captured in Europe has to date pled not guilty to 5 charges against him, including first degree murder, but with yesterday’s find a few short miles behind his Montreal apartment at Montreal’s Park Angrignon the odds of him beating the rap against him now seem insurmountable.
Offered investigating constable Anie Lemieux of the Montreal police force:
“It’s too early to confirm if this finding has anything to do with the [Lin] homicide. We’re waiting on lab results to determine whether what we found are human remains.”
Officials it is said came upon what appears to be the human head after receiving a tip. It appears only a matter of time that the Magnotta who played a deadly cat and mouse game between authorities, the public at large, his ex lover and what one speculates between his own diabolical self who over the years has concocted a myriad of false aliases will be forced to reckon with the enormity of his crimes and self delusion.
Mr Lin’s torso was found in a suitcase in bins outside Magnotta’s apartment building, and about a week later a missing foot and hand were posted to two schools in Vancouver.
At present the 29-year-old bisexual porn actor is being kept in solitary confinement pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 13, 2013. The ten-day hearing will be preceded by a pre-trial hearing in January.
During his court appearance on June 21, Magnotta had asked for a trial by judge and jury, but didn’t request a psychiatric assessment, something that most commentators had expected.
