WPTV has reported the latest incident (yes kids, Florida again) where an individual high on illicit drugs has stripped themselves naked and attempted to bite the flesh out of nearby persons. Whether drug induced or just a copy cat phenomenon the latest act of zombie attackhas onlookers wondering what’s hit America this summer?
WPTV: PALMETTO, Fla. – The latest in a string of “zombie” like attacks happened in a Manatee County home Wednesday night after a man under the influence went into a fit of rage and bit a piece of someone’s arm off during a visit with his children.
Much like the Miami face-eating attack, 26-year-old Charles Baker got naked, ate human flesh and wouldn’t go down without a fight, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
Authorities say Baker went to his girlfriend’s home on 25th St in Palmetto to visit his kids at 10:15 p.m. They say he was high on an unknown substance when he knocked on the door, then barged in, began yelling and taking off his clothes.
There Baker encountered 48 year old Jeffrey Blake who tried to get Baker to calm down with zero luck, in fact for his efforts, Blake found himself being attacked and a piece of his bicep bitten into and fleshed out. Baker was eventually subdued when authorities arrived when he was tased after numerous efforts to get him to acquiesce failed. It is understood that officers had to re deploy numerous electric cartridges before Baker finally came to a halt which could suggest the heightened potency of whatever contraband he may have ingested. Or it could suggest that we are now amongst a new breed of zombies, or better still, individuals who think they are zombies.
