A former NYPD screenwriter, 51 year old Ted Shuttleworth now faces one year in prison pursuant to an incident which saw him lose his cool and punch the 4 and half pound poodle square in the face leading to Lola sustaining a traumatic brain injury and eventually dying.  Apparently the 51 Ted Shuttleworth is said to have lost his cool when he struck the dog.

At the time of the incident Shuttleworth took  5 year old Lola to a veterinarian where her death raised suspicions. The hospital then called the ASPCA which then commissioned a necropsy.

Isadora Monk Shuttleworth, the screenwriters’ wife called it a ‘horrible accident.’ Onlookers on the other hand would perhaps be right to wonder if it was callous indifferent behavior towards the dog and would not be at all fault to wonder if somehow the screenwriter had somehow imagined his dog to be a make believe character in some script that would magically wake up from such traumatic treatment.
