Tennessee school principal: ‘If you’re gay you’re going to hell!’
Here’s something that will want to cozy up to your same sex lover this morning with the knowledge that not everyone is capable of letting you just be. Who is next on the roster of ‘I know better than you how to live your life and make sure you live up to scratch’ comes courtesy of mid south school principal Dorothy Bond who was having a recent pow wow with Haywood High school students in Brownsville, Tennessee (yes Tennessee the state that will always know better than you which is way up…):
Commented Amber Whittiemore, a parent of one of the students present at the meeting: “At first she was talking about PDA and she turned around and she directly pointed to the gay people and said if you’re gay you’re going to hell and if you’re pregnant, you’re life is over.”
And if you’re pregnant too? It seems Principal Dorothy Bond is just not happy with all those sluts who manage to get themselves pregnant during school hours and never mind those same sex individuals….
But it might surprise you that not everyone is particularly piqued by Principal Dorothy Bond’s statements. Some parents are in fact 100% behind her. Of course those who were behind Principal Dorothy Bond weren’t too willing to go on camera once the local tv crews arrived to dissect the drama. Can anyone guess why these parents were suddenly not too keen to go live and openly discuss their dislike of gays?
And now it gets better. Chastised for her remarks by parents who strangely felt (yes all very strange) that Principal Dorothy Park should get up on the podium and discuss her personal views as to same sexuality as opposed to just sticking to the curriculum and enforcing school agenda Principal Dorothy Park got out of bed the next morning and had this to say:
“‘I’m sorry if I offended you but my view is still the same you’re not welcome here,’”
Not welcome here? I’m not welcome to the fizzy concoction of Principal Dorothy Park’s homophobic rants? That’s not fair. After all who would want to pass up an opportunity to be educated at a school that openly approves and condones homophobia?
At present the district that controls who gets to teach or not hasn’t come out with a statement regarding Principal Dorothy Park’s views but personally I hope they fire this belligerent good for nothing idiot sometime today.
Isn’t it about time you lived in a country where our children are able to discuss views and ideas without having to be subjected to discrimination based on one’s sexuality, gender, race, color or religion, especially at the hands of supposed role models? Maybe not in Tennessee.
