Perhaps it should come as no surprise then that alongside the show’s celebrity guests (Nicola Roberts and Jodie Harsh) were a number of East London fixtures, including Sam Voulters (Fashion editor and star of Vice Magazine’s “hit” spoof-show Dalston Superstars) wearing his trademark “COMME des F*** DOWN” hat. Artist Pandemonia also made a splash in the front row, as per usual, dressed as something like the living embodiment of a Jeff Koons sculpture.
Ultimately the collection is undoubtedly amongst KTZ’s strongest since the label was launched three years ago and, in my opinion, is amongst the best of this London Fashion Week at large. Cohesive and at the same time dynamic, this season’s collection manages to improve on the last by staying true to KTZ’s cutting-edge aesthetic without sacrificing wearability. (Or maybe it’s just me that found last season’s strappy leather bondage dress a little intimidating?)
