Even the guests of the evening fit the theme, with a crowd littered with the movers and shakers of this chic little city. Hosted by Willoughby’s CEO Joseph Douek, with New Yorkers Phillip Bloch (Cause Celebre), Alex McCord, and Pimm Fox (Bloomberg Radio). Guests included city public officials, newscasters, financiers, business and opinion leaders such as New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, Geoffrey Bradfield, Chele Chiavacci, Simon van Kempen, Donna D’Cruz, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dana Hammond, Michelle Harper, Stephanie Newhouse, Tom Silverman, Antony Todd, Kim Vernon, etc.
The evening featured Kristina Korsholm, who looked ferociously feminine with tousled hair, a tight dress a wild accessories. Her book, NYC – Head Over Heels, about her experience in the city, made it debut appearance at the party. Not only did it go perfectly with the theme, but with beautiful cover art shot by renowned photographer Victor Medina-San Andres of Modern Loft Films, the book itself accentuated the decor and New York-esque atmosphere of the event.
“New York City- it’s a zoo. An amazing zoo, filled with energy and life and experience that you don’t get anywhere else,” said Korsholm about what inspired her book. “It’s wildly diverse- and I love that.”
She’s absolutely right- New York is a zoo. And if you want to be lucky enough to spot one of its most beautiful or influential creatures, I’d suggest stopping by Willoughby’s and picking up a camera to capture one.
