David Paulo Amorim, 11, of the northeastern city Mossoro in Brazil, realized his body attracted metal objects when his father placed a knife and fork on his chest. Miraculously, they stuck.
He then moved on to scissors, coins, nail cutters, even a cooking pan—all sticking to Paulo’s chest.
Paulo fashions himself after Magneto, but with a slight variation:
G1: “I am a phenomenon of God, but wanted to use my powers for good, unlike Magneto, who is the villain,” the boy said.
He’s also a big hit at his school, and great at parties. G1 reports that fifty kids showed up to his birthday party on Monday.
With medical examiners so far stumped as yet to an explanation of Paulo’s abilities, can we assume that he is indeed a mutant with superpowers? Next up he’ll have to meet a telepathic boy like Professor Xavier, start up a school for gifted youngsters, and defend the planet from evil mutants.
Here’s to the next stage in evolution..
