Rosie’s Theater Kids: “A Night at the Vault”

RTK was founded in 2003, by Rosie O’Donnell and Lori Klinger, and has since affected the lives of over 12,000 public school students. Imagine what it will do now that it has a junior board, composed of: Elizabeth Clinard, Faisal Al-Juburi, Matthew Butler, Alyson Campbell, Nathanial Casey. Matthew notes: “That it is through the junior board that numbers are cultivated.” Boasting of a method he, himself invented and calls the “Butler Method,” students have gone up significantly in their test scores. Some have even acquired $15,000-18,000 grant-scholarships plus laptops, as a result of its implementation.“We called you all out tonight, to love you and to invite you to be a part of the junior board,” he said.

Rosie’s Theater will be hosting an Annual Ballroom Gala, in September. Ticket proceeds will too benefit the students of low-income families, and expose them to art, dance and theatrical instruction.“Everything beautiful in my life, is because of education, the places I went and the women I married,” says Nathanial—the newest board member. He devised an excellent video, which gives attendees a profound, inspiring glimpse into what their presence will be enabling: Dancing, acting and singing student performers—happy, on stage. The video opened with the following: “Children are to live up to what you believe of them.”
