Everyone at the Stephen Burrows  Fall 2011 RTW show were all smiles and familiar faces, not at all worried that the freight elevator to take us up the 8 floors to the empty warehouse stalled, after all, Stephen is a CDFA Lifetime Achievement Winner and a notorious designer for the drug-laced disco days of the Studio 54 and Andy Warhol age. He filled the place with friends and fans that have been accumulated from over the 20 plus years of experience he has in the design field. Burrows once again challenged his younger competitors to provide pieces that can be worn to the office, to a night on the town, and to a morning after, when the wearer is most likely stumbling out of an apartment she does not know.

Models strutted down the make shift runway with creative freedom to spin, pose, and blow kisses as they wish. Their allusive smiles added to the collection along with the Christian Louboutin shoes and matching head scarves. His inspiration “egg shapes, stripes, plaids & prints combined with soft dressing & stretch fabrics” is instantly revealed with a gray, black and red intricately striped high waist pant suit. Other colors in the collection ranged from teal, camel, navy and ended with gold.
