Perhaps it’s common to become most attached to the photographs of the musicians you admire or know about most, as I found myself completely humored and enchanted with the still captures of James Brown, Salt N Pepa, Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff, and stunning Debbie Harry. Even the sign blatantly saying “NO PHOTOGRAPHY” provided humor to the entire event.
Well inspired, and with only a few bottles of the organic sparkling white wine left, the crowd slowly started bundling up to brave the fierce weather again. Passing both artists who each provided a hand shake and thanks to each guest slowly merging towards the door, passing the almost hidden photo of the infamous Biggie Smalls that makes you stop in remembrance, passing security, and opening an umbrella under the minute awning was almost a procession of sorts before crossing Bowery for the nearest cab uptown.
